Function Analysis
During the initial phase, the project team seeks to gather information about the project thus far including important details about the owners’ objectives, key criteria, and definition of value. The project team conducts an analysis of each component and function to determine which can be enhanced, eliminated or combined or if new functions need to be developed.
Cost-to-Worth Relationships
By analyzing and determining cost-to-worth relationships, the technique helps narrow scope and refines value definitions in terms that stakeholders would understand.
Idea Evaluation Techniques
Many of the ideas that passed the evaluation phase are further developed into workable proposals. Each recommendation will be accompanied by a short narrative with a list of the positive and negative aspects of each proposal along with cost comparisons.
Life Cycle Cost Analysis
This technique provide for the analysis of costs beyond the project timeframe and throughout the life of the project or assets resulting from the project. Performed early enough in the project life cycle and recommend any course correction if necessary.
